Programs of Study

At BRYSS Academy P-TECH, the Manufacturing Career Cluster provides students with rigorous, hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for high-demand, high-skill careers in industry. Through a structured and coherent sequence of courses aligned to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) CTE Framework, students gain both technical expertise and real-world application.

Our Programs of Study in Welding and Industrial Maintenance are designed in partnership with industry leaders and institutions of higher education, ensuring students graduate college-, career-, and workforce-ready.

Welding

Students in the Welding program of study develop foundational and advanced skills in metal fabrication, joining processes, blueprint reading, and safety procedures. This program emphasizes industry-based certifications, hands-on lab experiences, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Industrial Maintenance

The Industrial Maintenance program of study equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment and systems. Students explore electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation technologies.

Engineering Foundations

The Engineering Foundations program of study introduces students to the principles, design processes, and problem-solving skills that drive innovation across all engineering fields. As part of the P-TECH experience, this pathway blends academic rigor with hands-on application, preparing students to think critically, design creatively, and solve real-world challenges.

Students explore key concepts in engineering design, drafting, materials science, and emerging technologies while developing technical skills aligned to industry expectations. Through project-based learning, collaboration, and exposure to industry partners, students gain a strong foundation for advanced coursework, dual credit opportunities, and future careers in engineering and technology-related fields.
